Hello, my name is Heiki Andersson and I am the son of Bengt Andersson who started Ronneby Svets & Smide in 1983. He started the company with a colleague who was also called Bengt and therefore it became popularly called “Bengtarna”.

They then had a focus on building forging, which is still part of the production today, while now it is me and my sister Anna who drive the team Ronneby Svets & Smide forward.

My name is Anna Andersson

I am a co-owner of Ronneby Svets & Smide and sister of Heiki. I was born into this company and have always been daddy’s little girl and as a child was called Bengt’s secretary.

Here I am today in our family business Ronneby Svets & Smide.

The TEAM

We work as a whole in the company, that’s us and that’s the TEAM Ronneby Svets & Smide, openness, welcome and action are our watchwords, the customer should be able to leave here and be satisfied.

For several years now, we have also been manufacturing heavy steel structures that can be used in the cable industry, what we call cable carousels. This has become a big thing where we have delivered several carousels within Sweden and Europe but also to the USA.

Company Presentation

Ronneby Svets & Smide AB is an engineering company with mechanical engineering and head office located in Ronneby. The company has been in business since 1983 and currently has 16 employees but depending on project size it can be up to 65 people. We employ if necessary, a larger number of subcontractors in the construction, transportation, electronics, hydraulics, painting/coating, welding and sheet metal/steel processing of various kinds.

Products and services

We have two main focuses with our business, one that is traditional mechanical engineering with manufacturing of larger and smaller supporting steel constructions, contract manufacturing and sheet/assembly work as well as repair and maintenance. We carry the most in welding and sheet metal. Our customers are construction companies, property owners, installers, industrial companies, state and municipal administrations as well as private individuals.

Cable carousels

We are a major manufacturer and supplier with extensive experience and knowledge of customized cable carousels with associated add arms and other equipment for the cable industry. Wheels and rail design: The wheels are designed to be removable even when the carousel is fully loaded. However, it should be emphasized that no wheel has ever required replacement in any RSS carousel. Wear is kept to a minimum by angling and tapering the wheel, and the rail material is a special hardened product manufactured by Swedish Steel AB.

Environment and safety

We strive to have a high safety approach and to meet occupational safety laws and environmental standards, whether manufacturing is done in the workshop or work at customer site. We consider ourselves to have sound and proven experience based on 20 years of design, manufacture and installation of heavy-duty handling equipment for the submarine, power and umbilical cable industries. The environment has been an important part in the production since we started the company.
